(WSIL) — Health departments in southern Illinois are reporting 90 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, January 10, 2021. An additional resident from the region has also passed away.
Franklin County:
- Females: one under 10, two teens, one in their 20’s, one in their 30’s, one in their 40’s, and three in their 50’s.
- Males: one tween, one in their 20’s, three in their 30’s, one in their 40’s, two in their 50’s, two in their 60’s and one in their 70’s.
Health officials are confirming the death of an additional resident, the individual is a female in her 80’s. This brings the county’s death toll to 49 lives lost.
To date, there have been a total of 3,763 laboratory confirmed positives in Franklin county of COVID-19 and so far 2,191 have recovered.
Gallatin County:
- Female: one in their teens
- Male: one in their teens, one in their 40’s
Gallatin County has a total of 413 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including three deaths.
Jackson County:
- Female: one teen, one in her 20’s, one in her 30’s, and one in her 60’s.
- Male: four under ten, one preteen, one teen, one in his 20’s, three in their 30’s, and one in his 40’s
Health officials are monitoring 296 active cases. Jackson County has had 3,986 cases to date, with 63 related deaths. Of these positive cases 3,627 individuals released from isolation, including 25 Sunday.
Randolph County:
- 19 new cases
- Genders/ages not provided
These are the most recent numbers released by the health department and are for cases on January 9th. Health officials are monitoring 200 active cases. Randolph County has had 3,574 confirmed cases and 60 deaths. Of those cases, 3,314 have been released from isolation.
Saline County:
- Female: one in their teens, two in their 20’s, one in their 30’s, one in their 40’s, one in their 50’s
- Male: one in their teens, one in their 20’s
To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,085 lab confirmed positives, including 37 deaths.
White County:
- Female: one in their 90’s
White County has had a total of 1,360 lab-confirmed positives, including 23 deaths.
Williamson County:
- Females: one toddler, two under 10, one teenager, one in their 20’s, one in their 30’s, two in their 40’s, one in their 50’s, three in their 70’s and one in their 80’s.
- Males: one toddler, two in their 20’s, one in their 30’s, two in their 40’s, one in their 50’s, three in their 70’s and one in their 80’s.
To date, there have been a total of 6,086 laboratory confirmed positives in Williamson county, including 100 deaths. Of these positives, 3,349 have recovered.
Illinois Department of Public Health:
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 4,711 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease Sunday, including 81 additional deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 1,028,750 cases, including 17,574 deaths across the state.
