Cobra Kai
As expected, 2021 has been kind to Netflix’s
But Cobra Kai has been making some moves on another Netflix list as well—a much more elite set of rankings.
When we combine the 2020 Top 10 charts with the eight days that have passed in 2021, then Cobra Kai’s three seasons have amassed a total of 377 points. And that’s good enough for the fifth-most of all time on Netflix.
Cobra Kai’s second-place showing on today’s Top 10 list moves the show into fifth place alongside Ozark, which posted 377 points last year between the months of March and May.
The big difference, however, is that Cobra Kai has garnered its 377 points over the course of 51 Top 10 appearances, while Ozark required 57 days on the charts.
Cobra Kai is just one of nine shows that has accumulated at least 300 points from the Top 10 charts. And soon the former YouTube series will move into the 400-point territory, where only three other shows reside:
- CoComelon – 782 points
- The Queen’s Gambit – 619 points
- The Office – 453 points
- Tiger King – 387 points
- Cobra Kai – 377 points
- Ozark – 377 points
- Outer Banks – 356 points
- Avatar: The Last Airbender – 339 points
- The Umbrella Academy – 320 points
In 2020, Cobra Kai became just one of 12 shows to spend at least nine consecutive days in the #1 position on the daily Top 10 charts. And now, thanks to its third season’s performance, Cobra Kai has seen a total of 15 days in that top spot—a feat only five other shows have accomplished.
At the very end of 2020, Cobra Kai notched the #10 spot on the daily Top 10 charts, which brought its yearly total to 300 points. Now with the 77 points the show has accrued in 2021, Cobra Kai has moved past what are considered to be the most elite shows in Netflix’s lineup.
Yesterday, Bridgerton reclaimed its #1 position on the daily Top 10 charts. But if Cobra Kai can come storming back, then it’ll add to its Top 10 accomplishments and become just the fourth show to ever spend at least 16 days in the top spot.
