CARVER — The town of Carver treasurer/collector, Kathryn Kay, announced the second quarter Fiscal Year 2021 Preliminary Real Estate and Personal Property tax bills are due and payable by Nov. 2 and that the second quarter tax bills were mailed on June 30 in the same envelope with the first quarter tax bills.
Payments must be received in the tax collector’s office on or before this date. Postmark date is not acceptable as payment made if payments are not received in the tax collector’s office by Nov. 2.
Residents who are processing a payment through their bank’s online Bill Pay must include the bill number, year and type in the memo field so the payment will be properly applied. For example: Bill No. 25, 2021 real estate. Residents who are paying multiple bills must include each bill number. If this information is not included, the check may be returned and interest or charges may accrue due to a late payment.
All Fiscal Year 2021 Real Estate and Personal Property tax bills remaining unpaid after their respective due dates are subject to 14% per annum interest from the due date.
These bills can be paid online at https://carverma.gov.
The tax collector’s office will be open to receive payments of taxes from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays; and 8 a.m. to noon Fridays. There is also a drop-box outside of Town Hall where payments by check can be placed in an envelope marked “Attention collector.”
